Many people have argued the case of religions books being on the top 50 but religions has always been influential in human history so obviously they will be listed. The below are the top twenty powerful or influential books suggested by Seymour Smith but not in any particular order.

Yes most of the books listed above are to do with religions but they do indeed are influential in our lives. Here are some of the books I feel should be in the top 20 if not then top 50 certainly.

yes but mine was published in 1924 and i havent found one of those online anywhere there usually 1950's and up.

The Aeneid is an epic poem in 12 books written by Virgil. T.E. Page did a book-by-book edition and and commentary for schools in the 19th century. There are updated versions (see link below). In my experience, old textbooks don't fetch much, but you might consult a bookseller who specializes in classical studies.
