John Eldredge
John and Stasi Eldredge are both very much into adventure, heroism, and romance.. This is a book that peers into the soul of a woman and how God has made them.
Eldredge is the founder and director of Ransomed Heart Ministries in Colorado ,and is the author of five other books, including The Sacred Romance, and Wild at Heart. John's wife Stasi co-wrote this book with him and is also very involved in their Ransomed Heart Ministries they started.
The cover of the book Captivating states that what Wild at Heart did for men , Captivating is supposed to do for women what Wild at Heart did for men. Every woman was once a little girl, they say. And every little girl holds in her heart her most precious dreams. Eldrege explains the core desires in a woman is : to be the one swept up into romance, to play an irreplaceable part in a great adventure, and to be the Beauty according to Eldredge's perspective a woman has three core desires: to be swept up in a romance, to play a big part in a great adventure, and last but not least: to be the Beauty of the story.

This book is a great reminder to combat demands and duties to not take away joy,heart, and love of life. I suggest this book to any of you who are tired woman and to you who know of a tired woman in your life that needs to recapture her captivating heart.
Reading through this book gave me great perspective in all the good things God has put into me as a woman, sometimes the world can tell you it's silly or bad, but through reading this book I felt like something was revived in me. I love the contrast of the husband and wife both writing a book like this and suggest it as such a helpful tool for any women. This is an easy and quick read because you want to keep reading its restoring words.
