I plan on using Tsukineko all purpose inks for the children to color in their backgrounds. All I need is a plan of attack for the hand prints. I do not want to "outline" their hands using the inks b/c it looses the hand print impression. I thought about using fabric paint, but it seems that every fabric paint I've used would dry too stiff for a quilt and causes the fabric to "buckle." Perhaps I need a brand recommendation?

I would like a clear hand print image (with lines and everything) while maintaining the softness of the fabric. Any ideas?
Oh! Obviously I'd like great results, but they need to be cost effective too. I'd like to be able to have a variety of colors without having to spend a lot of money. The Tsukineko inks were already available to me.

putting my finger in it, then transferring to stretched cloth.
